Christel Delrieu Pétraud (France 1976)
Christel Delrieu Pétraud is an internationally award-winning artist who lives and works much of her life in Toulouse, France. This French painter has several international solo and group exhibitions to her credit, including in Spain, Italy and the United States. Her works are part of important collections such as the Palestine Museum of the United States, in Connecticut.
Pétraud has created her own handwriting.
Characteristic of Pétraud’s works are the intense, saturated colors that enhance her extraordinary compositions. Pétraud is constantly looking to explore her favorite areas: the composition of space, matter and time. She explores different techniques and materials, effects of colors, materials and light. She draws inspiration from travel, people but also from science, photography and the digital world. Her portraits are veiled in a moving rhythm. The result: incredible paintings of mostly female beauties that delight our perception.
