glass art
The glass artist Andrej Jakab has a preference for the techniques of fusing, grinding, polishing and connecting optical glass with composites. He emphasizes abstraction and geometry. It is fascinating how his works present internal and external geometric shapes and volumes. There are sharp and rounded corners, there is faceting and it is crystal clear. Beautifully transparent with softly colored references to emerald, ruby, sapphire, agate. In the still glass we see the reflections and we hear the crystal tones of the music.
Glass artist Andrej Jakab is the composer and the conductor here! The titles he gives his works are an indication of the source of inspiration. Jakab has been a glass artist since 1989. With his talent and perseverance, his professionalism and his creative and artistic ambition and his perfectionism he conquers the world and his work is included in several important private collections and the Corning Museum of Glass in the USA and the Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen.
