glass art

Andrej Jakab enjoys fusing, grinding, polishing and connecting optical glass with composites. He emphasizes abstraction and geometry. It is fascinating how his works present internal and external geometric shapes and volumes. There are sharp and rounded corners as well as faceting, and it is all crystal clear. Beautifully transparent colors referencing emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and agates. We see reflections and hear crystal musical tones through the clear glass. Jakab is the composer and conductor!

The titles he gives his works are an indication of the source of inspiration. Jakab has been a glass artist since 1989. He’s conquered the glass art world with talent, perseverance, professionalism, creativity, ambition, and perfectionism. His work is included in various important private collections as well as the Corning Museum of Glass (USA) and the Jan van der Togt Museum (Amstelveen).

“Crystal clear sculptures show never-before-seen miracles of optical glass.”
