Paul van Ernich has been active as a painter for nearly 35 years. He paints still lifes, portraits and landscapes in oil according to old master techniques. As a result, his paintings have exciting depth and beautiful light effects. From a past with classical leanings, he evolved into contemporary work: more modern interpretations of those classical themes. In recent years he has concentrated on enlarged floral still lifes.

Paul painted the winning portrait of Ilse de Lange for the television program “Stars on the Screen.” He gives an annual master class in Los Angeles and has exhibited in China, USA and France.
