Sculptures

Rietje Geurts, a Dutch artist with more than 35 years of experience in ceramics and wax, has developed into a sculptor of international stature. Her journey began with clay and was crowned in 2003 when she received her higher degree in sculpture from the Stedelijke Akademie voor Plastische Kunsten in Genk, Belgium. Her bronze sculptures, inspired by human emotions and everyday experiences, exude timeless value.

Rietje’s art bridges the borders between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, where her work is exhibited and appreciated. Her sculptures, with attention to detail and meticulous workmanship, bring anatomy to life and emphasise speed, grace and strength. Often her theme is women, alone or in groups, which gives her work a deep connection to everyday reality and human feelings. Her bronze sculptures remain an enduring and meaningful presence in the art world, where they defy the test of time with their universal message.

“Her bronze sculptures, inspired by human emotions and everyday experiences, exude timeless value.”
