Paintings

Jeroen Paulussen is a Dutch artist born in 1959.

He embraced his passion for painting after 20 years in the hectic world of financial markets.

He was mentored by a professor from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and joined a painters group in Amsterdam to develop his skills.

Paulussen was inspired by the old masters and classical painting techniques; he started off reproducing the likes of Vermeer and Caravaggio. Eventually, he developed his own style of still life and has a preference for painting flowers. His paintings have an almost photographic realism.

“Layer by layer, the painting develops into a photographic end result.”
